I've had a couple weeks of smith sailing since I uninstalled bitdefender and MSE is getting the job done.

This morning I woke up to a black screen with I/o error . Ran some of the diagnostics and the Ocz sdd drive (my Windows druze) is not being detected. Any suggestions?

My plan is go ahead and install my new Kingstown sdd drive this after noon that has just been sitting in the box. Is there anything I need to prior to installing windows on the new Ssd drive?

Try a different SATA cable for the Ocz. If it's own diagnostics won't detect it again then RMA it with tech support.

To get a perfect reinstall to the Kingston follow the general steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which are the same for retail. Those tools and methods will get and keep a perfect install.
