Clean re-install with no discs... possible?

I have a Sony VAIO which came with Win7 pre-loaded, no discs provided.

Experiencing issues, have run SFC / SCANNOW, and then done a "Repair Install" from tutorials on this forum. No improvement.

I have the downloaded ISO from Dell.

Is it possible to do a clean install? The clean install tutorial starts with "boot from Win7 disc..."

I looked for such an option, sorry if it's right here somewhere and I'm blind...

There should be some type of program on your PC tp make the system discs from a reserved partition on the drive. See if you can use that to make your Sony Re-install disc.

If not then you can use the other downloaded ISO to burn a DVD and use your key on the COA sticker located somewhere on your system.

If you write the ISO to a USB, you can boot from the USB too. Use this as your definitive reference - it covers everything you need to do a clean install to your Vaio:

    Repair Install
The 3rd point in the Warning box...

You can do a repair install on a factory OEM installation with the latest official Windows 7 with SP1 ISO file here: Dell Community - Windows 7 ISO Downloads, and use Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool to create a bootable DVD or USB flash drive with the ISO to do the repair install with.

You can boot the DVD from the one time boot menu.

Hiyya Harry hum been there done that

If you get real stuck a factory default is another option mate only you will get all the bloat again and you lose all the data but if you have an image well should ok:)

Key is Alt+F10 on power up or used to be:)
