    That Metro UI drives me crazy. Tried to remove it but seems that the most recent Windows 8 versions have patched it.
    I was kinda expecting this 8 to be a fail. Take a look at this:
    Windows 98 SE -> Good
    Windows 2000 -> Bad but not so much
    Windows XP -> Good
    Windows Vista -> Bad
    Windows 7 -> Good
    Windows 8 -> Bad
    Windows 9 -> Good??? (Who wanna bet? :P)
    Windows 2000 is considered by many to be one of the best Windows releases, right up there with 98, XP, and 7.

    I personally found Windows ME a joy to work with (no sarcasm), but I also realize I'm in the clear minority here. However, I think we can all agree Windows ME is still better than Windows 8, or at the very least less controversial. :P

    I've used windows 8 but replaced some files with windows 7, and it looked exactly like windows 7, but I had tons of errors, memory problems, and couldn't boot into safe mode, it's PITA my friends.

    Controversial...maybe. You can't be serious in saying Windows ME is better than Windows 8. My suggestion is to stop sipping the Kool-Aid and come up with your own opinions. Windows 8 is quite a good OS, especially when you tailor it to your preference in UI. Ask yourself this....if it's so bad, why are all the enthusiast sites (and magazines) using it exclusively?

    With one simple freeware addition, you end up with an OS that bilds on Windows 7, yet runs a bit faster.

    Which enthusiast sites are using it exclusively? Certainly not this one (which blows you claim for all out of the water).

    I strongly dislike the metro interface, but I think that the rest of it is quite nice, aesthetically.

    Windows Millenium was a total disaster for me, while Windows 8 runs like a champ on my PC. I use the Windows 7 start menu on my Windows 8 installation and it runs just like Windows 7 for me, but with the added security of having Windows Defender built into the OS, rather than having to install Security Essentials, or some other third party AV.
