[QuickQuestion] Can I make a bootable Windows 7 DVD on OS X?

Quick question everyone, just wondering if I can create a bootable DVD of Windows 7 Installer using OS X? If yes, how? Do I just simply burn the Windows 7 ISO on a DVD and when I try and install it on my non-mac laptop, would it work flawlessly? Thanks!

I'm not a Mac user so I have no personal experience doing this. I did find a couple of articles that may help you. The first article seems pretty straight forward, The second article doesn't seem too user friendly (too many references to required utitlities that aren't available any more.) But some of the comments seem encouraging.

Hey, thanks for replying. Though I already got it to work. It's way way simpler when using OS X in making bootable DVDs not like in windows. So, thanks!

Glad to hear you got it to work.

For the benefit of others could you briefly describe the procedure?

    Apologies for the delayed response.
Creating a bootable Windows DVD on OS X is by far the best and easiest and most convenient way to do it. It's very simple and you don't need to download any other third party application to make it work. And yes, I will list down exactly what I did in easy to follow steps.

First of all let's list down the things that you need to make this work:

    - Mac system running OS X (Haven't tried it on a hackintosh but technically it should also work since they're the same)
    - Blank DVD
    - Windows 7 ISO

    And the steps..

1.) Insert the Blank DVD into your SuperDrive
    2.) Open Disk Utility
    3.) Click "Burn"
4.) Choose the Windows ISO file.
    5.) Confirm "Burn"
    6.) Sit back and relax.
7.) Wait for it to finish writing (estimated time of finishing differs. but on my MacBook mid-2009, it only took about 15-18 mins.)
    8.) Remove DVD
9.) Install Windows like you normally would.

    Thanks. :)
