Cannot run anything on computer startup sometimes

I love my laptop but occasionally I get pretty ticked off when I'm using it. Anyways, for some unknown reason, a lot of the time when I log on to my computer, I try running a program but nothing happens. I don't even get the loading sign. I have to restart my computer about 7 times to get it to work. It's not a virus because I'm not connected to the Internet or any other external computers. No errors no crashes, and my computer is brand new. Please leave any solutions!

The computer in question has never been connected to the internet, is that correct? Have you used any external media, DVD, CD or USB, other than legitimate copies from know vendors, such as friends providing you with their media?

In addition to the above, if this is a brand new computer have you contacted the company where you purchased it to get some tech support or have them provide reference information on who to contact?

If you have the factory preinstalled Win7 it's loaded with sponsored bloatware and useless duplicate utilities that corrupt and throttle Win7. That's why most tech enthusiasts will not run this installation but instead choose to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

While you consider this you can regain quite a lot of performance by performing these steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware and Optimize Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums.

Afterwards if problems still persist work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
