Yesterday after windows did an auto update restart I got a BSOD upon reboot. Shut the computer off and attempted a reboot. I got to the desktop but everything was freezing up and lagging and task manager refused to open. Happened about 2 more times, then it finally was usable and responsive, nothing resource hogging in task manager. Played some Battlefield, then the game lagged to hell, and could not exit the game, just the windows blue loading circle mouse pointer for 5 minutes. Once again, restart and lags to hell. I proceed to go into safe mode and disable programs that I know are not needed upon startup. I also ran MalwareBytes overnight while in safe mode. Picks up about 3 suspected viruses/malware but they are old files, from about January/ last December. Deleted the files and rebooted. Get to the welcome screen then a black screen. Ctrl+alt+del brought me to the security options page and task manager is functional. Look in the processes and explorer.exe is running. I run chrome.exe and all I get is a white screen, and it says not responding on the task manager programs tab. I really don't now what to do now. Later I found out the black screen goes away after about 3 minutes. Chrome can be used by running it from task manager, but the desktop, taskbar and start menu are unresponsive. There was a window that was tilted Windows explorer (not responding). Went back into safe mode and attempted a clean boot, still no luck.Everything is fine in safe mode, even did a system restore to 2 weeks ago Any help would be appreciated.
