Compaq presario cq60 several issues i need help with?

ok so i have a compaq presario cq60 which is the biggest lemon ive had.

first problems started when the warranty went out like that same day it said the battery need replacing i ignored it and it started dying like 3 minutes after being unplugged but it says it has 98% battery life so i leave it plugged up always.
next i started getting the blue screen of death like all the time until it started happening so often i couldnt even use it.
so i took the hard drive from my Toshiba and put in it (toshiba laptop had beer spilt in it and stopped working) and that stopped the blue screen but have me two other issues.
one it says my windows is not genuine which it is it was pre downloaded when i got it
and two the sound doesnt work not the speakers nor the headphone jack ( but i tried usb headphones and they worked fine but they werent mine)
so please someeone help me with this issues its real annoying

Hi and welcome to the Forum. So you took a HD from one laptop to another with the original Windows 7 loaded up? If that is the case then you have an OEM Windows 7 that is only licensed for the PC that it was originally loaded into. It is not legal to use it on another machine.

it was on both the compaq and toshiba i assumed it would stay on whether it was original HD or not.
but the man issue bothering me is the sound, ive downloaded numerous drivers from hp and toshibas websites. the sound on rare moments does play for one sitting, sometimes out of the speakers sometimes from the headphone jack

You seem to hav emissed the point of my post. On your compaq presario cq60 you are using the Windows 7 OEM version that is dedicated to the Toshiba machine therefore you are using it illegally! It makes no differnece which HD you use. Both HD's are your property to do with as you wish but your Windows 7 OEM is only legal on the original machine it was loaded on

Be that as it may I'm fine with using a non-verified copy of windows 7 the only thing it does is not let me customize. But nonetheless I'd really like to fix the sound or at least patch it through till taxes so I can get a new computer. Although I hate windows 8 it's so annoying lol

My best advice would be as follows:
Put the original HD back into the machine and do a clean install of Windows 7, see here:

If it's the same version that's licensed on the COA sticker on each machine, then you can simply change out the Product Key at Control Panel>System to use the old HD's install on the new machine.

It's rare that it will start up however, and may need help updating drivers by installing all Important and Optional Windows Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3). Then supply any still missing in Device Manager from the Compaq downoads webpage.

I'd use the new HD to get the suggested and vastly superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

@ Cow guy Ok the original HD won't even let me get to the loggin before it bsod and restarts.
@ green day dude. I will try that ASAP
I have a copy of vista I could use but no one wants that lol
And any ideas on the sound issues?

If Windows Updates doesn't deliver one, install the latest sound driver and any software package given on the Support Downloads webage for your PC model.

You own a license for the Win7 version which came preinstalled on the new PC for it's life, to reinstall as often as you want. Was the Win7 copy on your older PC genuine? If not you should only reinstall the licensed version on the new HD following the Clean Reinstall tutorial.

Yes it came with it also with the toshiba laptop.
And i have downloaded the drivers. It says its playing and stuff but I don't hear anything. In addition when I first start the computer it makes the windows loggin music every time then seconds after it makes a click and all sound it gone.
