Laptop Switch

Im going to leave my computer on 24 hrs a day.Is there any thing I should know? Thank you .I think my start switch is going belly up.

Artereio, There should not be a problem as long as your ventilation is good. Make sure that the cpu fan is not covered with carpet dust which will imped it's heat transfer.

As long as the fans can move the air, you should not have any problem.

You could try repairing/replacing the switch too, if you feel you want to try it. Not a tutorial but comments from others who have tried this,interesting.

Why does the power button on my laptop not work?

Heres a tutorial for changing something else,eg power jack, but it shows how you can get to the start button to check/repair/replace. all this is assuming your machine is not under warranty anymore. If so, have Toshiba do it.

remove the battery whilst it is plugged in,also helps keep temps down.
