Bold font problem in programs (Not the average problem)

This isn't your average bold font / italics problem. This problem doesn't occur in windows folders or anything, it happens in only a few programs. It happens in Ventrilo (https://i.imgur.com/u6e00.jpg) and it happens in Sony Vegas which cuts off my window (https://i.imgur.com/oDFdc.jpg) .

You may notice that if you've ever used those programs, the fonts aren't bold like that. My DPI is at 100%, I've tried re-installing my fonts, setting the default settings, and it doesn't change with themes. I want to avoid re-installing windows, and if that's the only option, I guess I'm just gonna have to live with it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Looks like the problem is with your actual programs not with Windows. Where did you get your copies of the programs that are causing problems especially Sony Vegas?
