Windows 7: System freeze 2-3s with beep at the end 2-4 times/day

I just took an acronis image and put it on my main ssd (m4 128gb).
I then replaced one of my older disks cause crystal disk info is saying its not 100% healthy and I have a lot of work related stuff there and decided to just replace it (its got a few years on its neck anyway 4 iirc).
So I got a new Seagate 3tb 7200rpm/64mb disk.
Now I get freezes a couple of times each day. Everything stops and is unresponsive except for sound. Even the mousecursor doesnt work. If I ctrl^alt^del I get taken to the 'screen' when it resumes.
Every time it resumes there is a little beep. Its like the beep (but a bit softer) like from the computer speaker except it comes from the soundcard.
