Yes, does anyone recognize it? It certainly doesn't look like any EFI install I've seen yet. The labels appear to indicate an MBR install (which can' be EFI) but check in Disk Mgmt to see if it's for certain an MBR disk.

Does this same choice appear when you right click on the panel in red to the left of the HD in Disk Mgmt?

it looks like it used to be a MBR setup, but then EFI was tacked on later.

I think i remember my old MSI laptop had this setup (half of the disk an OS partition, the other half set aside for recovery).

I think once you identify if it's EFI or MBR and where the boot files are kept, it might be good to try to merge the partitions into one.

The boot files are on C as signified by the System Active flags. That 16mb isn't really big enough to house anything anyway.

It's the Factory Recovery partition. It may or may not still run. I asked you before to try generating the Recovery Disks if you haven't already to see if it works.

    Please answer these questions:

Is this the original factory preinstall, or has it been reinstalled?

See if you can access the 16mb partition the same way you did Recovery, post back a screenshot of both.

To be absolutely certain about the 15gb partition unhide System and Hidden files at Control Panel>Folder Options>View, then see if it will assign a letter in DIsk Mgmt or rightclick>Explore.

If this fails install Partition Wizard to try Exploring the partition, assigning a letter first if necessary..
