    Changing Folder Permissions ...

Hey guys, I have a question for you all ...

I just remade my PC and reinstalled Windows 7 and now working on the Software.
I must of fixed this in the past, but for the life of me can't remember what I did ...

when getting into certain folders, or even trying to save certain files, I get the message basically saying ...
Not allowed, would you like to save to My Documents instead?

I was in C:/Windows and was using Notepad.

How do I fix this? (PS: Yes, I am Administrator)

    THANK YOU in Advance

It all depends on where, what folder, you are trying to save file TO. Some folder are restricted by the OS as they are System folders and Users should not be saving things in them.

Until we know where you are trying to save to and what type of file you are saving it hard to proceed.

One thing you Do NOT want to do is take full control of the C drive. That will screw up the OS to no end.

Windows, in Win 7, does not like the Users to Save Files to the Windows folder. It likes to restrict that type of access so viruses and the like can't change and or add files to the Windows folder.

But again you failed to state WHAT file you are trying to edit or create and then save to the Windows folder and Why.

So there is very little anyone can help you with without knowing all the info.

    Good Luck.

Save the file in Notepad to your desktop then move it to the location you desire. Much easier this way.
