Well if you do it all the time, then I have no clue what`s wrong with your drive. maybe it has to be cleaned with diskpart, but I don`t see why.

I just did one here on unallocated space and clicked next and windows started installing.

Did you check what it told you to in the bios ?

Try Cleaning the HD Drive, using Step one in this tutorial:
SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
Than type> convent gpt (for uEFI/BIOS firmware only)
& than Reboot PC to install.

But why would he have to make these changes if he reinstalls every 5 months ?

theog, you typed CONVENT gpt, should that be convert gpt ?

And my install is done :)

You can use "convent gpt" or "convert GPT". both will work.

I tried the way that theog said, same problem.

I want to mention that when I execute the command "convert gpt" it says : ' Virtual Disk Service error: The specified disk is not convertible . CD ROMs and DVDs are examples of disks that are not convertable.'

I tried with a windows xp, it worked fine but when I rebooted after installing it on the drive the cd boots automatically and installs the same thing .

I removed the CD with Windows, got an error : 'Disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter'.

    Practically I can't install any windows .

    Please help!

    Gregrocker may have another suggestion.

It couldn`t hurt to make a partition wizard boot cd to wipe the drive and make the partition with, it couldn`t hurt.

Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to manage partition directly with partition manager bootable CD.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals,

Boot into BIOS setup to enable Legacy BIOS if present. Next check BIOS Boot order for an EFI Boot Disk and if present remove it, set DVD drive first to boot, HD second. Then set SATA controller to AHCI. Save changes and Exit.

Then boot into installer DVD or flash stick burned or written using tool and latest ISO for your licensed OS version here.

At first installer screen Press Shift + F10 to open a Command Box, type:

    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
    CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400 (for 100gb partition, adjust as desired)
    FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
    ACTIVE
    EXIT
    EXIT

Next click Install Now, then Custom install to Clean Install Windows 7 to the partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message.

In addition read over these steps to understand the tools and methods which work best to get and maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The steps are the same for retail.
