Hi,

Is the disk formatted as GPT or MBR - I suspect the former. Please attach the screen capture image of your Disk Management screen as you missed that in your first post.

Regards,
Golden

I would make, and use, a partition wizard boot cd.

Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to manage partition directly with partition manager bootable CD.

Why is that hard drive showing as Disk 0 ?

The C: drive should be disk 0

And why do you have 2 system reserved partitions ?

You need to reformat that entire new drive while there is nothing on it.

Make sure the C: drive ( your original ) is going to sata port 1 on the motherboard and your new drive is going to sata port 2.

First things first, format that entire drive. Delete the partitions 1st so the whole thing is unallocated space then format it, you will then have 1 large fully usable drive.

You can then make the PW disc, go back and break it into 4 primary partitions.

2 Active partitions may cause booting problems in the future .
