How to restore those "preview" icons?

Hi,

The icons for my media files (except images) went from the "preview" type (which shows the album art for music or a frame for video) to the generic type (which shows the application that'll open it). So, how do I return it back to the "preview" icon?

Thanks,

I've already set it to those views (Large), but still no "preview" icons.

Hello ziklz,

Double check using the tutorial below to make sure that you have thumbnail previews enabled.

Hope this helps,

I just tried each of them, but (unfortunately) to no success.

What application are you using to open them?

My guess would be that you forgot -> APPLY after unchecking the box.

Bongo, I'm using MPC and Winamp for videos and music respectively.

whs, I did click apply before clicking OK (or closing the setting window).

If this just recently happened, perhaps you could use a restore point to roll back your computer to a date/time prior to the change.
