    Hi Logic.

I bought the copy, because its located here in Australia, and they company has gotten top feed back from customers.
considered a Top Seller with 5 stars. So I hope for my sake it is legit!...but if its not ill report it right away. The package seems to be 100% original but again you never know..

To find out, download this tool from Microsoft: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012
You will need to look at the "Windows Product ID", the second set of digits will tell us.

The software has not been set up yet,its still in the box. So I wont be able to check it out just yet. When the tech guy sets up my pc and I give him the windows software, ill run a the program you linked me to,and see the outcome. Just hope I don't have any ordeals...becuase of windows 8 now, shouldnt windows 7 prices be dropping?

You will be fine with Avast. But in the future there is no need to pay for an AV program. I suggest you also get a scanner. I like SAS Download SuperAntiSpyware 5.6.1014 - FileHippo.com - Run that once per week.

Oh S**T my copy of windows 7 didn't even come in a Microsoft box,its just white. But then again it might mean nothing until the tech does the installation. So if its counterfeit its means it wont install on my pc? and if this guys not legit where i bought it off e-bay,and he's selling 100s of windows 7,why is he considered a top seller for example and not reported?please give me some info.

    thank you.

Doesn't sound good. For software you should stick with major established retailers....... Amazon, Newegg, Tigerdirect etc. The proof is in the pudding though, as they say. Is the product key anywhere on/in the box? Doesn't ebay have a fraud/money back policy? (I have no idea, stopped buying off ebay after getting some bogus Magic the Gathering cards many moons ago)

Christ, don`t they sell Windows 7 in the store in Aus ?

What matters is the key, did you get a legitimate key with your purchase, you can always download windows.

Yes I would if I were you. That way if it IS bogus, you'll have time to get a legit copy for your new machine.
