Daemon Tools isn't compatible with Windows 7, but you can extract the Windows 7 files to a storage partition and then run them from the extant OS to overwrite C if you want.

However it's best to boot the installer to have all the functions available for Clean Install Windows 7 and to have the disk for rescue or repair purposes as well.

I have Windows 7 and I've used Daemon Tools Pro for at least a half year.

DaemonTools may have corrected the incompatibility which was recalled from earlier in Windows 7's life. But it's still best to use the recommended tools and methods which have worked for countless thousands of others, do a booted install from the latest installer for your licensed version following the steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 .

Would I need to select "Custom (advanced)" which doesn't let me keep my Files and Documents?
I think I said your files are on the HDD that was removed. On this one there is nothing you care of, right?

Anyway, in that post I also said:

I thought you were able to burn a DVD from an iso file. It even tells you how to make a USB install thumbdrive.

Sure, the problem would be that play a game or whatever is NOT the same as using it to reinstall the OS, all times I tried doing it (for fun) everything crashed before it had finished installing, leaving an unbootable mess.
Then you need a real DVD or usb thumbdrive to do a clean install.

Did everything right. Now I think my Ethernet is broken, has been for awhile. I cannot access the Internet because my WiFi adapter doesn't have it's driver installed. /: what do I do?

You must have missed the step in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which says to put your ethernet or wireless driver in your backup, on a stick or CD so that if Windows 7 installer doesn't provide it you can install it to get online quickly to install all Important and Optional Windows Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3).

You'd also know that this driver is found on the Support downloads webpage for your model PC or device.

Did you decide to disregard the steps to get a perfect install and do some other kind of install?

Yeah, kind of. So that "install drivers automatically" didn't work because I'm not connected to the Internet. So how do I go about doing this? And I couldn't really back up anything because I only have one USB stick. Which was to to install Windows 7.

You can put the driver for your network device on the same stick as installer, then use it to install the driver. Once you extract it to Downloads or Desktop, rightclick the Setup .exe to Run as Admin, install the driver until the network shows up in bottom right System tray to connect. Or if necessary browse into the installer's extracted files using this method for Driver Install - Device Manager

Then do all of your Updates after the step I linked earlier.

You wouldn't have had to if you'd read the tutorial which anticipates this, but yes now you will.
