Ehm, greg, this guy was operating his laptop from a toshiba laptop's HDD (read above to see full story), the drivers in that were NOT the right ones.

Ok Cosmic, now head for the support page about your model where you find all drivers. To know which one to get (other than taking the newest one as there are different drivers depending on brand of the devices in that laptop), the easiest way would be to unscrew the panel covering the wifi card and look at the brand printed on it. They also offer a Hardware Vendor Detection utility to know what drivers you need to download for devices that have multiple possible drivers depending on device manufacturer (like say touchpad or your wifi card).

I read that but it has no bearing on the steps for a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
since all of those partitions should have been deleted to create new one(s) for install, drivers not provided by installer are delivered by Windows updates - getting online if necessary using a network driver which should be put on stick, CD or in backup in case its not provided by installer.

    ● Just in case, have your Wireless or Ethernet LAN driver on flash stick or CD so you can install it to get online quickly - these can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for your model computer.
    9. The installer is mostly driver-complete, with newer arriving quickly via optional Windows Updates. So after install connect to your network after installing LAN driver if necessary, enable hardware driver auto-updating, install all Important and Optional Updates.

    10. Any drivers still missing in Device Manager after all Updates are installed can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for your model computer or device, along with possibly needed hotfixes - which you can also wait to see if you need. Driver Install - Device Manage
