    I was wrong, it's using windows boot manager to boot. When I do that I get the disk you specified is not valid. I guess I was wrong before, E is volume 0 not disk 0 my bad.

    So

    diskpart
    list disk

    Doesn't list any disk?

    What the heck is C and D if you have E?

    dir c:\
    dir d:\

    root cause is hard disk not found. Your hard disk is not detected. Did you boot form CD/DVD or USB?

    "The system cannot find the path specified" is what I get for both. I can choose to boot from windows boot manager now or P2 MATSHITADVD-RAM UJ8B0. The second won't actually boot anything though.

    It's booting WinRe on the HD to run repairs but not detecting the OS. This could be because it's infected or because it needs repair to even be detected. The steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start
    sequence repairs to take into account all possibilities, and offer everything that can be done to repair Win7 leading up to if necessary rescuiing your files to run Recovery or Reinstall.

    in recovery environment->command prompt

    Code:
    bcdedit
    You see something like this (sorry it's in dutch)

    Windows-opstartbeheer
    ---------------------
    id {bootmgr}
    device boot
    path \bootmgr
    description Windows Boot Manager
    locale nl-NL
    default {current}
    resumeobject {9dc4384c-ed0f-11e1-a017-806e6f6e6963}
    displayorder {current}
    timeout 10
    Windows-opstartlaadprogramma
    ----------------------------
    id {current}
    device partition=C:
    path \Windows\system32\winload.exe
    description Windows 7 Home Premium
    locale nl-NL
    recoverysequence {736323c3-1247-11e2-a92d-8aaa5ce884b2}
    recoveryenabled Yes
    osdevice partition=C:
    systemroot \Windows
    resumeobject {9dc4384c-ed0f-11e1-a017-806e6f6e6963}
    -----------------
    What's listed on the place I made bold?
