    default HTTP proxy for all my applications


    I want to set up a default HTTP proxy for all my applications.How can i do it??

    Impossible. Configure it for each application

    Products like Microsoft Security Essentials don't support proxy,but they all try to connect..why can't we make default proxy ?

    Internet explorer is running fine and using the proxy server? If so,
    In elevated command prompt

    Code:
     
    netsh  winhttp  import  proxy  source=ie
    netsh  winhttp  show  proxy

    Security Essentials Tries to connect to internet to update but can't due to proxy ,similarly many software...

    MSCE uses windows updates to update new virus definitions.

    windows updates are installed succesfully after doing my netsh winhttp commands?
