    Laptop suggestions

Its time for me to look for a new laptop. I think i have the same problem as everyone else i and the most powerful smallest laptop for the cheapest dollar .

I would really like to have an i7 with 16Gb of ram or higher (the maximum allowed).

It doesn't have to come with that much pre-installed. A lot of people are going to ask why so much ram. Well i do a lot of testing for school and for fun so 90% of the time i have 4 or 5 virtual machines running.

Same reason i want the i7 quad core vs the i5 dual core.

I would like to have an SSD dual if possible (again it doesn't have to come with dual SSD as long as its possible to add to it.) I have heard about switching out the optical port for a SSD but that's not something i have looked into.

The last thing is i don't want a big bulky box I love the ultrabook look.

I have looked into a lot of devices i just cant find one i like. I also know there is a bunch out there so i figured someone else might have a good idea of what I'm looking for.

    Thanks.

You may want to look at a custom built Laptop, I wanted close to what you wanted i7, 12 GB ram, SSD + a HHD , 17" screen. Here is where I order it from Gaming Laptops - XOTIC PC - Gaming Notebooks - Custom Laptops - Custom Notebooks

Is your heart set on a laptop? Will this be your primary PC?

With all the specs your after your going to be in the $1k plus range...with that kind of money you could build one heck of a desktop.

I already have 3 desktop that are actually have better specs then this 2 of them are ran as servers and one is my primary desktop. I really want to do the same thing with my laptop that i do with my desktop.

I have a laptop also, but it's just a mid range mid level laptop just for mobility purposes. I do see your point.

I forgot 1 thing. If I'm doing a custom build then i want the option to not have an OS installed since i have OS license i will use.

If i decide to settle for an i5 then i will probably get the cyberpower m2, but i hear there is quite the performance jump between i5 and i7. and cyberpower doesnt have 2 ssd.
