    Hi dear,
You can try to rid it with a programs called Unlocker.
Download the program and install it, right click that folder, choose Unlocker in the context menu, then click Unlock All.

Sometimes malware can cause similar issues (not being able to delete, move, etc a file or folder.) If you haven't already done so, run a full updatd scan with your installed anti-virus suite. No AV program is 100% effective 100% of the time (if there was such a thing we'd all be using it) so I also recommend a couple of free on-demand scanners just to double check your primary.

    Malwarebytes

    ESET Online Scanner

    SuperAntispyware

    HitmanPro

Try the free program Unlocker - it may help.
As I mentioned in my original post, I already tried that program, along with two other programs.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

Does a SFC scan show anything wrong?
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Have you tried booting to another operating system and deleting it from there? You can download Ubuntu, burn it to a CD, boot to that CD and delete whatever you want.... just be careful!
I am currently running the scan now. And I don't know if I want to install a new OS onto my laptop. I will do it if no other option works, though.

    Thanks for the tips!
I'm sorry that I was not clear:
You do not have to install another operating system on your computer.

You run the entire Ubuntu OS from the CD. I've done this several times - just be careful what you delete.

If you don't like Ubuntu - you can pick from many other CDs that will let you do this. I just picked Ubuntu because you might like having an entire OS on a bootable CD.
Cool! I will look more into putting Ubuntu onto a CD and running the OS from there, in the hopes that I can remove the folder with that OS.

I am still open to more timely solutions, though (for anyone that has any ideas).

As I mentioned in my original post, I already tried Unlocker. It said that there was nothing to unlock in the folder, and the option to delete the folder is blocked.

    A New Idea

Hey guys, I came up with a new idea. Do you think that I could restore my laptop to a state from the beginning of October? Because that is when the folder first appeared.

    Thanks!
