Computer is freezing up randomly and takes forever to go to sleep

    Do I just copy those files onto the disk and then boot from there?

    OO Golden beat me to it - yes mate just make a CD or a USB stick (I found that best) and set the BIOS of course to the optical or the USB and plug in > save and exit the BIOS and watch the install go just have the code on the sticker handy.

    Once done and updates finished another thing you might like to do is this Optimize Windows 7[2]=Performance Maintenance if you don't mind missing out on the bling LOL!!

    I don't know where the wireless drivers are - in order to copy them to the usb > Can you help me with that too please?

    Um why do you need wireless drivers Mark? If the drivers for the uSB are out just put the ISO onto a disk.

    Go to the Asus Support Downloads webpage for your model to download the wireless driver to your backup in case it isnt' provided during install.

    Then follow these other steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

    When you get to Steps 6/7 in the illustrated install tutorial Clean Install Windows 7 delete all partitions to create new as you wish, or just click Next and the installer will do it for you to begin install.

I'm noticing my Windows 7 machine is taking a while to login. After I am done entering my password, the "Welcome" message with the spinning circle appears and is there for at least 50 seconds. I haven't timed it but that is an estimant. Anybody know why this would be happening? :(

recycle bin takes forever

W7 64 bit. When i click the recycle bin it sometimes taks as long as 20 seconds to open. Otherwise the PC runs great, is fairly state of the art and has a SS drive. The only other speed issue is at times, tho not nearly as often, it will take rather long for a image file to open in the windows...
Well, at this point I don't know what to think. My computer was taking forever to shut down and go to sleep. I thought it was maybe Windows. I did a clean install this morning, and to my avail nothing changed. I did notice that when I don't have any programs running, it goes to sleep/shuts down...
Takes forever to turn off!

Windows will start to lag, I shut off the comp, but it took like a hour to turn off.. help? Also, it seems everyime I defrag my laptop Windows 7 crashes... is there something about that?
