Help! Can't go past login screen!!

So, yesterday I found my computer wouldn't let me log in. I left it thinking that the computer would work after a few hours. anyway, next day came and i turned on my computer. After waiting for it to start, it went to the log in page. I couldn't type my password into the login page. But the blinking thing, (where you can type) id blinkying...however I can't even move my mouse cursor. Like its literally frozen. I restarted the computer, then pressed F8 continually. There came a series of options so that I could possibly get my compute to start working again. Can someone please help me from what I can pick from?

Then a 'system recovery option' window opens up. There's 'system repair' <I did this, and it said that there was no problems> 'System restore', 'windows complete PC restore', 'windows memory diagnostic tool', 'command prompt', and TOSHIBA recovery wizard'. Yes it's a Toshiba laptop.
- safe mode
- safe mode with networking
- safe mode with command prompt
- enable boot logging
- enable low resolution video
- last known good configuration
- directory services restore mode
- debugging mode
- disable automatic restart on system failure
- disable driver signature enforcement
- start windows normally

I've done safe mode, last known good configuration and start windows normally. I haven't tried anything else because I'm not too familiar with all these technical things. Please someone help me here

I can only go up to step 2 of the link you provided. I can't go anywhere after that. I don't have a disk or flash drive for the next few steps /: I can't do anything to fix it up. Even taking off the battery doesn't even work.

You can try running a SFC /Scannow

If you can't access Command prompt in Safe Mode

Try selecting Repair my computer - The menu should look like this:

Select Command Prompt then type in sfc /scannow

Thanks Braddersz, though, after I typed sfc /scan it says that 'windows resource protection could not start the repair service'
Then underneath that it says x:\sources\recovery\tools>

What do I do now?

Before you type in sfc /scannow

Does the command prompt show C:\windows\system32: ???

You could Try running A start up Repair Scan.

See the first image on my post above. select Start up repair. Windows will check nessasery boot files for errors or corruption.

Sometimes It will report that it was unable to find any problems. ignore it. Just choose to reboot your computer. Then see if you can log in.

The disk needed for repair or reinstall of your version is in Step 5 along with tool to write it to flash stick or DVD.

As suggested you may be able to do some repairs from the built-in System Recovery Options but you need the disk anyway so why not splurge the pound to buy a few.

CD's or DVD's are available for $2 for 5 on the rack near the camera dept at Walgreens.

No, it doesn't say C:\windows\system32: instead it says X:\sources\recovery\Tools> then, I typed in sfc /scannow after that.
