Windows will get stuck right before 'Welcome screen.' How to fix?

Did you add another stick of Ram? Did it come with 2? Have you tested all three, one at a time?

I did not add anything, that's how it was when I bought it. It originally said 320 but an app I downloaded a long time ago for specs told me it was 313 so that's what I put. Is it possible to remove them and test each one? Could that possibly make it start correctly?

Another thing, the word 'Welcome' does not show up...just the background...and the leaves I was referring to are the ones to the right middle part of the screen...

I may be wrong but, that requires for me to download the CD and then put it in my damaged computer, right? I don't have another computer that is working. Tell me if that's required and I'll see what I can do here. I'm using my tablet right now, by the way.

Then why don't you go and read it so you know for sure? And if you don't have a Win7 installer DVD then you'll need to create one from the links provided. Is this asking too much when you'd spend hundreds of dollars otherwise at a shop? We're not asking for a dime except for you to actually read the steps and do the work with our help.

I will borrow a computer and do it tomorrow, maybe.

As far as I know this is the default logon screen (not your desktop background image). Do you see your logon icon? Can you press ctr-alt-del and select task manager?

How do you continue anyway if nothing is selectable on screen? Only power off helps I assume

Please download this file enableadmin.exe, save it on usb stick, and unblock it.
Put usb stick in usb2.0 port of sick computer. Boot to advanced boot options using F8 (where safe mode is listed). Select "repair my computer". Enter time zone, keyboard layout (just press next). So do this
System Recovery Options

Select command prompt
dir c:
dir d:
dir e:
dir f:

Assume enableadmin is on F:

f:\enableadmin

What happens?
All fine .. then detach usb stick and boot normally. You can logon as user administrator now

Got a difference of OS here ... in your specs, you have listed OS Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit SP1

The image says Windows 7 Ultimate. What is the RU in the top left hand corner?
