Will Vista Drivers work fine on Windows 7? Hi, I have a Sony VAIO vgn-cr35s and I changed my hard drive since the previous one broke. And now my new hard drive is running Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit version 6.1 (build 7600) I just wanted to know if the drivers of Windows Vista will work on 7? Because I'm about to download the Ati Radeon X2300 driver from the Sony site but I just wanted to know if it'll work
Thanks in advance! | My System Specs |

If it won't work, try running different versions of Catalyst pack in Compatibility mode. Using this trick I have managed to install Vista drivers on some older machines with Windows 7 and
even with Windows 8! | My System Specs | | OS Windows 8; Windows 7 x86 (Dec2008-Jan2013) Other Info "The scale icon at the top right of a post or tutorial is how you can give rep to the member." |

Most should but you may find some that don't. Most everything (major anyway) has /Vista7 drivers now anyway. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Asus G74Sx OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel i7 2670 Qm @2.20 Motherboard AsusTek G74Sx,1.0 Memory 16 GB DDR3 Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce GTX 560M -2040mb Monitor(s) Displays Generic Screen Resolution 1600 x 900 Hard Drives Crucial M4 128 gb SSD Internal/ 500gb Western Digital internal @ 7200 rpm (love the dual internal drives!)

Most likely yes, they should run properly, since in fact Vista and 7 share the very same kernel (where the drivers work) with only minor modifications and cosmetic changes mostly.
The best is to search for Windows 7 drivers, but if you can't find, trying with Vista, Win8, 2008 or 2012 should do too. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba Sattelite A665-S6092 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel Core i7-740QM Memory 8 GB DDR3 Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 330GT Screen Resolution 1366x768 Cooling Coolermaster Notepal U3 notebook cooling pad Hard Drives Samsung 840 SSD 500GB

Let me throw this out there from what I have seen from MS is they tend to pair OS that are back to back to each other like 95/98/me then NT/2000/XP Vista/Windows 7
Im not sure if i stand correct on when NT was with what I never used it so couldn't really remember
But that is the layout i have seen and I really think Vista was a Beta 7 along with Mojavie that people probably forgot about which was another upgraded vista turning into windows 7 http://www.tomsguide.com/us/Microsof...news-2133.html | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Built by me FX - Series Scorpious OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit sp1 CPU Vishera FX 8350 Oc' 4.812Ghz 1.488 V-core full load 50c Motherboard Asus Sabertooth 990fx rev 2.0 Memory 16gb Corsair Vengeance ram 1600mhz Oc'ed to 1750mhz Graphics Card VisionTek HD7970 Ghz.ed Bios Crossfire 1150/1560 power 10% Sound Card AC97 Monitor(s) Displays 27" ViewSonic 1920/1080dp hdmi 37in vizio hdmi dual monitors Screen Resolution 1920x1080 27"- 1920x1080 37" Keyboard Logitech wireless keyboard Mouse Logitech wireless mouse PSU HX1050w Corsair Silver 80plus certified crosfire/sli Case Thermaltake Element V Cooling Antec 620 Water cooling system and 4 120 mm LED fans Hard Drives Ocz Agility 120Gb SSD Seagate baracuda 500 Gb WD Mybook 500Gb Internet Speed Cable 25+ mb Antivirus WebRoot Spysweeper with Antivirus Browser IE-9, Chrome, Opera Other Info I have 2 systems FX AM3+ 8350-K15 Oc'ed 4.812Ghz AM2+ 965 BE Stock 3.4 Ghz Both stable Both Gaming Rigs Also Hp Notebook 1.65 ghz Dual core amd E-450 8gb Patriot Ram DDR3 Discrete Gpu Hd6320 dedicated ram 1973 mb 15.5 screen |

Thank you all for replying! I was just trying to verify if it was really ok... since I heard some of my friends having BSOD when they install a new driver... and I'm kind of scared of getting that.... >_< | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Sony Corporation VGN-CR35S_L OS Windows 7 Ultimate x86 CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 @2.10GHz Motherboard Phoenix Technologies LTD Memory 2GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon x2300 Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Screen Resolution 1280x800 Hard Drives Seagate 320GB Will Vista Drivers work fine on Windows 7? problems?
