Will Vista Drivers work fine on Windows 7?

Hi, I have a Sony VAIO vgn-cr35s and I changed my hard drive since the previous one broke. And now my new hard drive is running Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit version 6.1 (build 7600) I just wanted to know if the drivers of Windows Vista will work on 7? Because I'm about to download the Ati Radeon X2300 driver from the Sony site but I just wanted to know if it'll work

Thanks in advance!

Matter of trying. Some do work, some don't.

If it won't work, try running different versions of Catalyst pack in Compatibility mode. Using this trick I have managed to install Vista drivers on some older machines with Windows 7 and
even with Windows 8!

Most should but you may find some that don't. Most everything (major anyway) has /Vista7 drivers now anyway.

Most likely yes, they should run properly, since in fact Vista and 7 share the very same kernel (where the drivers work) with only minor modifications and cosmetic changes mostly.
The best is to search for Windows 7 drivers, but if you can't find, trying with Vista, Win8, 2008 or 2012 should do too.

I was going to say something to that effect i think the only difference is the aero feature to be honest and a better file system

Let me throw this out there from what I have seen from MS is they tend to pair OS that are back to back to each other like 95/98/me then NT/2000/XP Vista/Windows 7

Im not sure if i stand correct on when NT was with what I never used it so couldn't really remember

But that is the layout i have seen and I really think Vista was a Beta 7 along with Mojavie that people probably forgot about which was another upgraded vista turning into windows 7

Thank you all for replying! I was just trying to verify if it was really ok... since I heard some of my friends having BSOD when they install a new driver... and I'm kind of scared of getting that.... >_<
