ok started safe mode with command prompt

this is the last line before it goes blank

    loaded: \windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys

it sits on this line for about a minute.

and the hdd is still flashing as thou it,s doing somthing

and the cursor still moves so it has not crashed.

I'd suggest we scan the HDD for errors using the manufactures Hard Disc Tools. Any idea what make the hard drive is? Example: Western digital?

Don't panic. Theres still a couple of things we can try.

We could try run a chkdsk in command prompt. this will check the hard drive for bad sectors, If it locates bad sectors, it will attempt to recover the data and move it to another working sector.

Id highly suggest that we scan the drive for errors though. But we need to know the make of the Hard drive?.

First we have to get you into and OS.

    Download http://www.hirensbootcd.org/files/Hi...ootCD.15.1.zip

You can burn the ISO to a disk

You can also boot from a usb flash drive Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3 | USB Pen Drive Linux or Hiren's BootCD From USB Flash Drive (Pen Drive) » www.hiren.info

Once that is complete boot into mini xp. post a screen shot of windows explorer.

Boot and run an extended scan with Seagate Seatools
This will tell you the condition of the HD, perhaps even fix bad sectors.

If HD is intact then work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.
When you do the disinfection you'll find out if a disk is bootable. If not use the flash stick options given. Report back results for additional steps.

Note that at any point you can rescue the data by skipping to Step 9, then boot the installer to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get a fresh start.

    In additon to this.

    Run a quick test first.

Then run a full Disc test.
