    Explorer Tooltip Shows while Scrolling...

    Hi,

I don't remember seeing this when I first started Windows 7 so I must've accidentally enabled it somewhere. Don't know what it's called, so I couldn't do a proper search for it.

Basically, this tooltip shows up next to the scrollbar as I scroll up and down. It updates to show Explorer's topmost file in view, and I have no use for it.

Where can I disable this feature?

    Thanks!

Hi, I checked there already. Couldn't find anything checked that would trigger it -- under what option would this feature be enabled?

Odd that I have never noticed that before. The filename shown on mine is not the topmost file - it is the file adjacent to the top of the scrollbar itself. I could not disable it with Folder Options.

Oops, you are correct. It is also adjacent to the scrollbar on mine. This isn't a big issue, just a minor nuisance when in details view and it's blocking it partially. I suppose the reason why I didn't catch it at first was because using the mouse scroller doesn't seem to make it appear, but dragging the scrollbar up and down does.

Still, as I view most of my folders in details view I would like to disable this option to have a clean view of my directory.
