    install.esd ??

I have a 2.1GB install.esd file on my system and I have no idea what it is. According to Google it is some installation file for Snow Leopard but I have never touched anything of the kind. Could that be some installation file for Windows 8 that I have downloaded yesterday.

If yes, I have made the Windows 8 .iso and burnt it to DVD. Can I then delete that file.

Thanks Kathryn, that clarifies it pretty much. I think I'll get rid of it. It pollutes my SSD.

You may like to make ISO first, as some Windows 8 x64 ESD's do not have uEFI support.

How to make the ISO the easy way.

Yeah, right. I made the .iso and also burnt it to DVD. And I moved the install.esd file to my spinner. There is a lot of room. I can always move it back to C:\ESD\Windows\sources. I just wanted it off my SSD.
