Make Win 7 remember last accessed folder

When I'm uploading files to a website I hit the browse button and the first thing that comes up on my computer is the desktop. Then I have to navigate to the proper folder, highlight the file, then click "open". I can only upload one file at a time. For the next file I have to go through the same process again, starting at the desktop. I've put a shortcut there to the folder where most of these files are located, but even with that it's a hassle. It seems that XP could always remember the last folder you accessed and go back to that folder. Is there a way to make Win 7 do this?
