| | Max file name length I have a question regarding files. How many levels of subfolders can there be? I've seen the max amount of characters is 260, does this include the path with slashes? I remember back in the day when files could only be 8 characters long and I had to make shorthand notations to remember what the files were. I have several files with multiple levels of subfolders or categories of information, and I'm wondering at what point do I need to start making shorter names. |
