    Unbootable Win7 & MBR assistant

    Hello,

(I recently wrote this under another users thread,
As we had the same issue & i thought it would be better not to open the same thread.
And we could use the same advises, but... never mind)

Windows 7 can not pass the "Starting Windows" screen.
I have a dual boot PC - one system with XP Pro,
    & the other is a Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
I tried running a Command Prompt with the 'SFC' commands a lot of times,
It helped once and it's not helping anymore...
I also tried the "System recovery options" a few times with no luck.
You think i can use this: Restore MBR to try fixing the problem?
Or any other suggestions will be most welcome!!
    Thanks.

Make sure Win7 or it's 100mb System Reserved (preferred if you have it) partition is marked Active from the System Recovery Options Command Prompt using Option Two here: Partition - Mark as Active

Then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times with reboots until Win7 boots. Then you may need to install EasyBCD to add XP.

If this fails work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

    Hi gregrocker,
    Thanks for your reply.
Before i proceed with your directions,
I couldn't download the "EasyBCD" from anywhere.
Not from the official "neosmart.net" site or any other.
Do you have an alternative to that?
    Thanks again!

After i hit "Save file" nothing happens...
Tried this with 3 different browsers.
It says it's a 1.5MB, maybe you can upload it here?
