Windows 7: where core i3 stands?

where core i3 stands?

i am new to i3 wanna when i browsing through games requirements it says to run we need:
processor .duel core. core2duo. Quad amd but i have core i3 (M390) processor so wanted to know where it stands its either duel core or not .it specs says game can run on core2due so can i will able to run too.

Windows 7 pro 64bit. (SP1)
 
 

genarally i3 is faster than core 2 duo (i3 is dual core CPU but has HT that creates +2 virtual cores).

Dual cores, (dual=two) as opposed to duel cores (duel=fight) - the i3 can be considered a core2Duo or better.
