I build the computer in June 2012, and them migrated to an SSD using Acronis True Image. As I said, I had this same issue with my last computer build.

The folders in question are still junctions. The little arrow in the Explorer screenshot confirms it.

Install WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics to see how much of the HD it's actually taking.

Click on the larger map items to see their listings.

try adding a file to the root app data and see if it replicates.

Windows does NOT like it when you take ownership of the whole drive that it's booting from. That being said, I don't know if that caused the problem.

Download spacesniffer (run it as administrator) and it will tell you for sure or not if that's the problem with your missing hard drive space.

Yes, it replicated it. I'll run spacesniffer next.

I got rid of my itunes apps, so that freed up 22 GB. Here is the Spacesniffer report:

    C:\ [91.6Gb]
    [ 15.9Gb] pagefile.sys
    [ 376Kb] bootmgr
    [ 36Kb] 1020.log
    [ 12Kb] SyncErrors73010168.xml
    [ 12Kb] SyncErrors727163124.xml
    [ 4Kb] HanDBaseSync.log
    [ 4Kb] END
    [ 4Kb] .rnd
    [ 0b] test.txt
    [ 0b] Lightroom catalog

    C:\Windows [23.2Gb]

    C:\Windows\winsxs [8.2Gb]

So things are looking more reasonable. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Reid
