Create task to open printer, print test page, and shutdown printer?

    thanks for your guide

how can I create a task to 'open a printer, print the test page at that specific printer and then shut down the printer' ?

I want to do this, so that the printer will be maintained and not break due to inactivity

    thanks!

I think you would have to physically touch the printer to shut it down. But certain printers will go into power save mode. ( expensive ones )

if you dont print regularly, printer heads get clogged, and its moving parts are not maintained

Create a document in NotePad called test printer. Open it & print it from time to time and print it out.

    Invest in laser printers.

or inkjets that properly preserve the ink cartridges when idle.
