putting assigned picture numbers in order

i download a lot of pictures of my grandchildren. the pictures have long numbers assigned to them ie 00000 00000 00000.

is there a easy way that these long numbers can be put into number order so it is easier for me to work with or is there someplace on my computer where they are already in order?

any help is appreciated. thank you.

What happens when you right click and choose " sort by name " ?

They should be listed in some sort of order. Do you keep the pictures in seperate folders or do you just keep them all in my pictures.

Hello Carole,

In addition, you might see if enabling numerical sorting may help.

Numerical Sorting in Windows Explorer - Enable or Disable

Hope this helps,

i really have a lot to learn when it comes too computers. i did not know anything about right clicking and sort by name or about enabling numerical sorting...i will check out both suggestions. also, i will start putting my pictures, with numbers, in a separate folder. i never thought to do that. i really do have a lot to learn when it comes to computers.

thank you so much for the help given to me...
