    I need help opening programs with double click


    Hello all, (Sorry this is an XP question, i am working on my backup PC) Suddenly NO program from the desktop will open by the normal double click. I have to right click and then left click open. otherwise whatever icon I double clicked on will sort of "wash" out (look faded) and nothing happens. It is on any program. Any help would be appreciated!!

    Maybe the double click speed got changed to a fast setting.
