    Deleting Hundreds of .PNG files

I have literally many hundreds of .png files that serve no apparent function other than clutter. When I try to delete them the message is, "You require permission from "TrustedInstaller" to make changes to this file". "Unlocker" can delete these files but only one at a time. Is there software out there that can delete a bunch at a time?

Where are these files located on your hard drive?

You can carefully take ownership and then delete them normally.

They are mostly here: c:\windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-gadgets-weather..........bunch of numbers.

Taking ownership sounds good if many files can be deleted at once. Further searching for these things reveals I have more than a thousand of them on my drive.

    Thanks

How big is that folder, mine is 1.72 mb? Not very big at all.

You should not delete anything from winsxs folder.

Thanks. I Googled sxs (side by side). Best left alone. I have two sxs folders at 8.84 GB and 6.15 GB. Humungus! Total of 90,000 files.

You're welcome, good idea to leave them alone.
