random freeze - drivers braking - compositebus.sys gone from device ma

    Hard to explain.

I was literally using windows word. Had a bunch of chrome tabs open, mostly YouTube.

Computer froze - I hard resetted it - lost sound on boot. Says no device found.
Checked device manager - instead of my audio driver I get "High defenition audio control", with exclamation mark al over it.
The composite bus enumerator had the same. I deleted both in hopes that on a reboot it would reinstall.

Nope. The composite bus enumerator is gone. And the sound drivers stay as high defenition audio control no matter what I do to it (reinstall through recovery manager)

    I have an HP dv6 2113sa
    Windows x64 home premium sp1

It is terrible. Everything is slow,I have virtually no access to the internet - chrome crashes whenever I try to type in the bar. Can't install any device media.

    I need serious help

PS the composite bus.sys is still in the driver folder, its just not in the device manager
Also the device am anger gives code 52 for the audio driver device status

As a start..was this the first time to experience such a freeze?
Have you checked the event viewer to see if any information about the freeze was recorded?
Run any malware progs to see if you got infected somehow?

There were freezes, but more like application freezes than PC. Stuff would randomly frieze on loading and the hdd led would light up without flashing. It would last a few seconds.

I used to check the bsod viewer and I ha d ntoskrnl.exe related bsods. But they stopped, so I took no action as they seemed Random.

The last I download was a math macro template for word 2003 from source forge made by a math teacher, so a virus is unlikely.

Is there a way to combat the code52? Something about disabling digital signiture checks. I tried some of the methods involving cmd but x64 I read has the thing mandatory.

Dunno what event viewer is sorry

If I understand correct the composite bus enumerator handles PnP storage media and drivers?

This explains why no other device gets installed now. I tried hooking up my tablet to the PC and it senses it but it refuses to install the driver for it.

The composite bus.sys is still in the driver folder, but its missing from OK the devic manager.
I'm theorizing that if that is resolved then I can get my sound driver back on

Anyone knows where composite bus.says comes from? Or how its related to anything?
The folders referance amd - I have an And CPU and gpu

    Plz help
