Strange black lines

    Strange black lines


    Ok i have seen this before not only with W7 but vista as well..
    when i see certin error messeges i get all these black lines..
    Would anyone have an idea as to what can cause this..
    it will go away at some point but would like to know why..

    i am seeing you have a acer x193w....
    i have one too......
    is this with dual inputs (VGA+DVI)??
    im guessing it only has vga since your res is 1990x440 (mine is too)
    i am getting flickering but not that severe......

    but this looks like memory (probably video card) corruption
    have you OC your video card?

    Yes i have both the vga and the dvi..i am running the dvi..I dont see 1990x440 option here ..But as soon as i went to the screen resolution and changed my refresh rate to 75 Hertz the black lines went away..hmm i left that box open in the background and went back and looked after i change the refresh i saw the lines go away..Was that a hint to me..

    shoot i messed up i should have said 1440x900

    hmm...
    i guess it was a refresh issue....
    as for me i have had no problems with it anymore with a monitor update through (though i can only hit 60hz....)
    well at least you got it funtional...
