Is this a registry problem or something else? please help
I think that you may have to do this: Search - Have More Accurate Search Results
- Right-click the Start button
- Choose Properties
- Click the button labeled "Customize..."
- Scroll down while looking for "Search other files and libraries" (it has 3 options underneath this heading)
- Select either "Search with public folders" or "Search without public folders". I don't use public folders, so I chose "Search without public folders"
- Click OK
- Click OK
It should work after this because if I choose "Don't search" instead of "Search without public folders" (or even instead of search with
), then I can't pull up any .rar files with the Start Menu search.
Compressed files are the Windows Compressed Folders (.zip files, but only if they're a Windows Compressed Folder).
