    Strange behavior of taskbar/system tray


    Hey guys,

    Lately my bottom right display on the task bar is disappearing. This includes the clock, and all system tray icons.

    All I have to do is open the task bar properties and click OK and then it comes back. This does not happen after a reboot, it just happens suddenly for no reason, and a couple times a week.

    Any explanation for this?

    You might see if resetting the notification area icons may be able to help in case there may be some corruption in there.

    OK, I gave that a try. Will have to give it time and see if it acts up again or if this fixed it.

Notification tray icons strange behavior

Several of my notification tray icons (gotten to by clicking the up arrow-->customize) are odd. CCleaner is listed but it has the Java icon. Windows Task Manager has no icon next to it. There is one listed, hpvncwin4.exe, that has the FreeAgent icon and I can find no description of what this is by...
