    Visual Style + Services

I was disabling and adding some unused services to manual that I don't use following this guide: Black Viper’s Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Service Configurations | Black Viper | www.blackviper.com

I restarted my computer and now my visual style looks like Windows XP. I go into the advanced tab and check visual styles to make it look like the general Windows 7 default appearance but nothing happens. Does anyone know which services controls visual styles/themes?

It is Desktop Windows Manager Sessions, and maybe Themes also. You are asking for trouble messing with Services, you have more to lose then you will gain.

I always have to ask why, even after all these years, people still go to his website and follow his steps. All you will get there is a tutorial on how to cause system instability. I'd undo everything that site told you to do, and hope the system runs fine afterwards. I've said it many times, but there's a very good reason he's known as QuackViper.
