windows 7 will not boot hello all, im not sure in which category this belongs so i apologize in advance.
i have been having issues with my pc suddenly not recognizing my operating systems or giving me the BOOT MNGR IS MISSING error. i thought it might have been just th old hard drives i was still using, i got rid of them and just re installed windows 7 just 3 or 4 days ago. last night it worked fine, i woke up this morning to a black screen and all i could see was my cursor for the mouse. i restarted it and i can see all the Bios screens and then it would tell me "windows was unable to start, run start up repair or boot like normal" first time i boot like normal, it went to the windows loading screen then back to the black screen with only my cursor. i restarted again and ran the repair tool and it "fixed" the problem and restarted and it went to the windows load screen then to black again. i cant tell if there is any audio cuz i think i had it muted so i have no idea if windows is loaded just not showing up for some reason or what. i tried switching video output to my other video card and it didnt do anything. i just backed up everything from my external drive so i have tons of stuff that i really cant afford to lose. any help will be amazing. i dont know what to do. | My System Specs |

Reboot the PC, tap the key given on first screen for BIOS setup (normally F2). Is there a HD status given? Is the HD detected under Storage drives? If not replace the cable or reinstall it, check again.
Download the maker's HD Diagnostics DOS CD scan, burn to CD using Windows Image Burner, boot to run extended scan.
Next run a full Disk Check (Option 2) from Windows 7 installer System Recovery Options or Repair CD Command Line.
Alternative method: download free Partition Wizard bootable CD, burn to CD using Windows Image Burner, boot to run Partition Wizard Partition surface test, followed by Partition Wizard Check File System.
If HD passes both tests, work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start. The installer is provided in Step 5 to use for repairs or if necessary reinstall.

i ran the start up repair tool off the windows disk and it worked (for now) seems like everytime i turn off or restart my computer something goes wrong and i have to jump through hoops to get it up again. thanks again. im sure it prolly is a hard ware issue, its been going on for a while now progressively getting worse. ill have to give my specs tomorrow, im about to "crash" my own self haha. again thanks for the help, at the very least i can put all my important stuff on my external for safe keeping. ill be building myself a new pc in the coming months so i can finally put this one to rest. if yall would like i can show all the parts ive selected and can give me input. i can build'em just not so good when they stop working :/ | My System Specs | | OS windows 7 ultimate x64 |

It might be that explorer.exe is not running. To check, press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up Task Manager. Press New Task and type "explorer.exe" without the quotation marks into the box. Press OK and if it works, let me know.
