    Notification area question

    Hi,

I have gone an obsessive clean up of my pc, and have found in the notification area icons that an notification by the name of wlmail.exe is still in the list, even though I have completely uninstalled windows live mail.

Does anyone know how I can remove this notification from the list?

    Thanks.

Can you go into the Customize part of the notification area and turn off the icon? Also if it is still showing up then it is not completely uninstalled. You may have some stuff still in bootup within msconfig or something.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, it's not in the actual notification area, I found it in the customization area of the taskbar and startup menu properties, but still annoyed I have any evidence of that program on my computer!

Take a look at this tutorial by Brink.

Let us know if that fixes the issue.

That was very strange... Computer went completely blanks but spotify kept playing...

When I restarted my computer though, the notification area was completely sorted.

Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction!
