Please help me delete some folders

I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro today. It left a few folders and when I attempt to delete them, I get the message, "You need permission to perform this action"

"You require permission from SYSTEM to make changes to this folder"

I don't have a clue what to do. Please help.

Thanks

Make a folder, put the folder you want to delete into that folder, try to delete the new folder. Let us know if that works.

Hello Joseph,

In addition if that doesn't work, then you might see if using the tutorial below to take ownership and permission of the folder may allow you to delete it afterwards.

Take Ownership Shortcut

Hope this helps,
Shawn

OK, thanks Shawn. I'll read the tutorial.

A little background, I got the same message in Safe Mode. Move on Boot. No go.

Off to read the tutorial......

If that doesn't work, then you could also give the free program Unlocker a try to delete it with.

OK, we need to see what user privileges you have.

clickstart>computer>local disk C>users>right click your user name>properties>security

then click your name and see what permissions you have
