    No sleep mode+installations are not working


    New here, hope I wrote it in the right place =/

    I recently installed Windows 7 and it's working great and all but as you could understand from the title, I have no sleep mode (if it's important I can upload pictures for you to see that I have all modes but only sleep in not highlighted and I can't press it), I tried reaching it from power options but I can't see it there either... Also, most of my installations aren't working, and I've tried EVERYTHING (the only ones that are working are Firefox and iTunes), and for every installation it gives me: "Error launching installer" or finds other crappy reasons...
    I would really appreciate if anybody would help me, I really need to figure out what's happening ._.)

    Hi, I'm having the exact same problem with no sleep option being available on a recent W7 installation on an older laptop, thus far I've not been able to find the problem, but if I do, I'll post back.

    Does anybody else maybe know what's happening here?

I recently purchased a Lenovo & when I put it into sleep mode, the screensaver doesn't run. I have checked my settings & everything seems to be ok, but I am technologically challenged!:cry: Any help would be appreciated.
My mic doesn't work after I wake my computer from sleep mode. To get it to work, I have to unplug my mic, shut down all my applications that use a mic, plug my mic in, then restart the applications. It works, but it's a bit of a nuisance to do that every day. Is there a way to fix this issue?
OK so I have a home built PC and the sleep has never worked... when i installed win 7 guess the drivers for the logitec keyboard and mouse were not installed so it actually started sleeping. but i didnt know this and installed the drivers for lx710 logitec keyboard and mouse. and it stopped...

Hi Folks this is the problem i seem to be getting i put the computer on sleep mode then when i turn the computer on later on it appears at the password page i put my password in and it dosn"t reconize it so i have to power off the pc from the main button then power back on then it reconizes me...
