    strange usb copying behavior

yesterday i was copying a 6.8GB winrar file from usb to c drive,

the initial transfer rate was 1Mb/second as shown by tera byte, it took 1 hour to copy 40% of the file.

incidently my hand touched the usb drive while doing some other office work and the copy transfer rate shooted from 1Mb/second to 14Mb/second and the rest of the file took only 10 minutes to copy

did the file copy correctly then? That seems very slow to start, I usually get from 60-200MBs with USB 2.0 devices. Starts fast and slows down before copy is completed.

It was probably not inserted well. Loose ports usually default to USB 1 then when you properly inserted it, it got it's full speed.

This is all just theory of course.
