Change of size of data in folder - After issue

    Dear Community,

I had to have remote access assistance regarding my Antivirus software.

I had them delete my back up files and then create a new folder.

I have noticed that my external hard drive has changed with data size. Would this possibly be the reason behind the change in how much data is left to use.

I am due to do a clean disk and install tomorrow as I have been really, really ill.

Thanks to everyone that has been patient.

I put the data on the current F: which has 626 GB Free.

    Just a simple question

Partition or Volume - Create New

Follow it for the black space in the disc management. It will create a new partition there.

Later if you want to keep only one volume in the disc, you may merge them.

Hello I tried following the computer management section of the link that you gave me. Which was handy and easy to follow.

I can not go to those options.

I understand what you are trying to do - splitting and then I can find out why there is a variance.

I will do. I am not too sure where my data went. Must have been my back up's - took one hour with the rep from Norton to fix my computer.

Software and me do not mix.

    Melissa virus I think

Still a bit confused about the lost space - but if I can not follow the instructions or it does not come up with the same options - then I am gathering that my computer or drive can not do it. The screen shots on the forum assist me greatly.
