    infinite start up repair loop


    hi im new here so please bear with my acer aspire 5535 laptop wont boot up at all even in safe mode it just keeps running the repair loop ive tried dskchk several times using different swiches to no avail ive tried the regback tutorial again no joy.I have noticed an anomaly thow when you let windows start and automatically go to start up repair the message says windows cannot repair this computer automatically .however if you press f8 and go to the repair screen then start up repair the message comes up saying startup repair cant find anything wrong with this computer.When you look at results it says windows os booted correctly can anyone help.thanks

    Make sure the HD is registering in BIOS setup. If not try reinstalling it (google for video how-to) or replace it.

    Try pressing F8 when your computer boots up and choose Last Known Good Configuration. If your computer boots normally, startup repair should not come back again.

    hi there ive tried all the methods in system recovery screen .start up repair states os booted sucsessfully. ive run several chkdsk it says the systems fine. ive scanned for viruses using several bootable antivirus discs (avg kapersky even dr web) all run fine scan system and say no viruses found volume is clean when I try disable auto restart bsod comes on and says a problem has been detected and windows shut down to protect computer then codes 000007b 0x8a386b50 0x0000034 0x0000000 0x0000000 could I have a hardware problem

    This possibly could be a hardware problem. Restart your computer and press F12 and run a BIOS diagnostic.

    Did you run the hardware tests at the beginning note in the tutorial?

    Were you able to go all the way back with System Restore, run from the System Recovery Options on Win7 DVD or Repair CD if necessary?

    If the hardware tests out OK then I'd consider doing what most tech enthusiasts do to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get rid of the corrupting bloatware and duplicate utilties which have better versions built into Win7 and which throttles Win7 performance. If you follow the steps in the blue link you'll get and keep a perfect install.

    The crash should also have generated a file which can be analyzed for its cause in our Crashes forum here. Follow these steps for posting: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Forums
